Baxi Commercial adds further sites to Hadrian healthcare group maintenance contract

05/03/2013

Baxi Commercial provides continuous support for all products supplied under its three key brands, Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial and Baxi-SenerTec UK as well as equipment supplied by other manufacturers.

In 2012, Baxi Commercial extended an existing maintenance contract with Hadrian Healthcare Group to encompass a further three luxury homes for the elderly, bringing the total coverage to eight premises across the north of England. Hadrian Healthcare Group is a family owned business established in 1996. The company provides the highest standard of person-centred residential care with 24 hour nursing care, dementia care and respite care for elderly people, and supported living for people with learning difficulties moving from institutional care.

Baxi Commercial Customer Support operates throughout the United Kingdom, using directly employed engineers supported by manufacturer trained agents. Tailored service contracts are designed to maintain all heating and hot water plant, including low carbon technologies, whether supplied by Baxi Commercial Division or by others. Individually tailored contracts provide regular maintenance which can be carried out annually or at other regular intervals depending on product type, system design and usage of equipment.

The service includes proactive replacement of consumable components and entitles the client to the additional benefit of reduced labour rates, parts and prices for the term of the contract. For additional peace of mind, clients are automatically sent a reminder ahead of time when the next service is due and provided with a named point of contact.

Care homes have a high requirement for domestic hot water, for baths, showers, wash hand basins, laundry and kitchen use. In Hadrian Healthcare Group facilities, this is all supplied by models from Andrews Water Heaters' award-winning MAXXflo range of gas-fired storage water heaters - normally three at each site comprising two CWH 60/300 and one CWH 90/300. Both models have a storage capacity of 300 litres and a recovery rate through 50oC of 1530 litres per hour and 1020 litres per hour respectively.

The MAXXflo range of gas-fired storage water heaters won the Queen's Award for Innovation for its energy saving capabilities. These units are therefore ideal for buildings with a high demand for hot water and are particularly suitable for installations such as care facilities, where this demand peaks at particular times of the day. Thanks to their fast recovery rate and innovative design, carbon footprint, NOx levels and running costs are kept to a minimum and their robust stainless steel construction ensures a long service life. The water heaters are controlled by a digital, electronic master controller which is provided with BMS and other external interfaces.

MAXXflo high efficiency condensing storage water heaters incorporate a fully modulating burner to provide maximum performance and flexibility and, using condensing technology, achieve an operational efficiency of 109% net. Heat input and flow are carefully regulated to produce a closely controlled water temperature and an automated high temperature anti-Legionella program is incorporated, of utmost importance in buildings occupied by vulnerable people.

Baxi Commercial Division is renowned for customer service across all its brands. Initial involvement at the design stage ensures that an installation will perform to maximise energy savings and reduce carbon emissions. Once products have been purchased, assistance provided by the Technical Services Department means that customers can be supported from start to finish of any project that involves integrating high efficiency boilers, water heaters and low carbon technologies.

From assembly and commissioning through to service, including a technical call centre, everything is provided by a fully trained workforce and this tradition is continued and enhanced with a Baxi Commercial service contract to keep the equipment operating at optimum efficiency for its full product lifecycle.
